Everyone knows Ashely by now, right? Her and I are kindred spirits. I love her to death. I would go ON & ON about how beautiful, talented, friendly and FUNNY this girl is, but I won't. :)

We've decided to TEAM UP this month! We really just wanted an excuse to text more, I think. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS, you guys!! Ashley has dubbed me a "beauty guru"...I wouldn't go THAT FAR! Ha...but my obsession with beauty/skincare/makeup products HAS kind of take over my life lately. So I'm gonna run with it!

Therefore...

Ohhhhhh SNAP!

I woke up this morning to find that my blog had been deleted! Jigga whaaaa? What was even more surprising to me, was that I had 4 emails, 4 tweets and 2 two text messages asking me WHERE MY BLOG WAS?! This is the blogging community, my friends! This morning just solidified my reasons for loving this world so much. I have made some TRUE BLUE friends this past year--all through blogging.

Which is one of the reasons why I wanted to go to SNAP! so much this year. I LOVE this community. Some people don't understand WHY I have a blog ("what's a blog?" or "why do you blog?").

This is why, people.

I could probably write a novel about my experience, but I'll just BOMBARD you with pictures instead! Enjoy this little SNIPPET of my weekend at SNAP! 

The food was PHENOMENAL. Including an amazing cake from Topsy Turvy, the Velata Chocolate Bar, The Candy Bar (this was my daily dose of sugar!), and MORE! 

Man...it was a good thing we walked a lot, because I ATE a LOT.

We had so much fun at The Queen Bee Market!! I spent WAY too much money on cute little things there! I got to hang out with Nichelle & Elise too (love those two)!

Ana White, and Courtney Dial from Pizzazzerie)!!

 I have a new found respect for what they do! Just WOW.

The Last Thing Thursdays {#8}

Good Morning, Vietnam! ;) I've always wanted to say that in a post. Yup, today was that day. Ok, I MIGHT be in a weird mood this morning.

If you wanna know how weird, talk to my hubby, last night was QUITE the night. I think I may have shocked him a little with my vomit-mouth (no, I didn't actually vomit..do you know what I mean?).

Oooooook.....I better move on before I completely weird all of you out.

WIWW - SNAP Edition!!

Yes, I am still coming down from/getting back into the groove/trying to fill the 

void after my SNAP! weekend of bliss. It was truly amazing! 

I was surrounded by 350 of the most talented, beautiful, funny...and the most WELL-DRESSED women EVER. It was hard to stand out in THAT crowd, I tell ya!

I loved taking "WIWW" pics with my cute friends, Alissa, Jacqui, Carrie, Heather & Caroline! Although, they are MUCH better at posing for the camera than I am. I am a LOT awkward when everyone is watching me. :)

I had every intention of posting about my SNAP! weekend today, but my baby is sick, 

and I'm probably a little sick too--but I'm just not going to ADMIT it.

The Last Thing Thursdays {#7}!

Gooooood morning! Welcome again to The Last Thing Thursdays Link-up Partaaaay!

I am headed off to SNAP! today to meet/mingle/hug/love on some AMAZING women!!! I can't wait! 

So today, I've decided to do something different, and get my hubby's perspective on his "last things". Enjoy (I know I did :)!

The Last Thing He....

ATE: Birthday Cake Oreos. Oh man he was so excited to eat these. Last night at Target, I finally found some! After he ate one, the verdict was....drumroll.......he was "not impressed." And man does my hubby know a good Oreo when he tastes one. 

Bought: Some stain for our deck (Seattle Grey to be exact)...also, he said this wasn't "very exciting", but hey, not EVERYTHING can be exciting, right?

Bought for D: More pajamas because I complained (and boo-hooed a little) that D was growing out of them TOO FAST. What a guy. 

Watched on TV: Duck Dynasty. Have you SEEN this show? It's both of ours new favorite show! It's HIL-arious. The old guy is my fave. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY (sorry that might be lost on you if you haven't seen it).

Did That Was Nice for Jenna (I liked this one): He played with my hair. I mean rubbed, massaged, played with (TMI?). This might be one of my favorite things that he does..I'd take that ANY day over a massage!!

Sports Game That He Watched: The Jazz vs. Mavs (they WON in TRIPLE overtime!). He stayed up PAST his bedtime (9:30) for this one, people. That's a big deal! :) 

Bad Movie He Watched: Birdemic. Oh man, I can't even explain how horribly horrible this movie was. It's one of those it was SO BAD that it's GOOD movies. We laughed the entire time. Good times. 

So there you have it! Thanks for endulging me, hubby!

Choose Your Own Adventure Day

Who remembers the "Choose Your Adventure" books? 

As a kid, those were my favorite books ever (well, those and The Sweet Valley Twins Series)!!

You got to pick your own path and make your OWN story. 

I mean, for me, this was just amazing-especially since I always wanted to be a writer. It would say something like "If you want Peter to go through the Cave of Darkness, turn to Page 77." I always PEEKED at where that adventure would take me (shhhhh..don't tell)...and if it said THE END, or the character was going to die, I would choose the other path. 

Ha, I know..I was quite the daredevil.

Why am I telling you all this? Well, today, it's a "Choose Your Own Adventure" day. I'm in 3 places at once today (how nice would THAT be if it were reality)! It's a little self-promotion, ok...so sue me! :)

A Week of Mommy Firsts

This past week, I have experienced lots of FIRSTS as a Mama to a 9-month-old!!

{1} D got his first cold/sickness. I am super sad about this one. He has had a cough, runny nose, and watery eyes. He is a trooper though! He is mostly still pretty happy! I just love this kid. If any of you Mama's wanna throw out some first-time-baby-sickness-love to me...I'd be much obliged!

{2} Baby D decided he wanted to crawl last week (after much nudging from my sister). He was happy & content just scooting around on his bum (which was also fine by me--less movement from him=more energy for me). But then he had to go and get all move-y! ;) It's pretty funny. He never does anything normal, this one...he decided the best way to crawl is to drag one leg and move with the other one. Whatever works, dude.

{3} After learning to crawl, he got into his first bit of "crawling mischief", when he took out all my hair products under my sink (I know..tsk tsk..but he had JUST decided to crawl that day), shook them, and then proceeded to throw them around my bathroom. I just couldn't be mad at him though--he was having so much fun (don't worry-he didn't EAT anything).

{4} He found his first "favorite toy"--his Dad's Dunny's. Now, if you don't know what a Dunny is, you are probably in the majority (i.e. me - before I knew of them). If you are so inclined, you can read the definition of Dunny's. Needless to say, my hubby LOVES collecting these things. At first, it was just a fun extra little thing to get my hub to make him happy. It has NOW become quite the funny obsession. But they are not to be played with (they lose their value?).

Don't be mad babe, you know I jest :) Haha!

Alas, D just LOVES them! He wants to pull them all off of our bookcase and eat them and slobber on them and throw them across the room (can you blame him-they are perfect baby chew toys)? What's a Mom to do? :)

{5} He had his first FULL-BLOWN tantrum. I mean he's cried (obvi), and screamed (duh)...but this was different. I wouldn't let him suck on the Vicks Vapor Rub jar and he FULL-ON had a meltdown for 30 minutes. I was literally pulling out my hair. Oh well--it had to happen sometime, eh?

For the most part (save for a tantrum, being hungry or being sick)...he is ONE HAPPY BOY. 

I just love him oodles of noodles. Yup.

Oh ya..and some of you asked me if I look/get "ready" all the time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 

No. No. No. 70% of the time..this is how I look. Enjoy.

Skincare Day with Jenna & Jenna!

HAPPY FRIDAY y'all!! What better way to start the weekend then to talk about some skincare?

I have been really excited to come over to Jenna's blog! I'm a Jenna too and I'm an esthetician. I'm a mother of three living in NYC! Skincare has been my passion ever since I was teenager. I am a huge product junkie and I'm always trying new products. I have found that some of the inexpensive brands are just as good as the medical grade brands and expensive brands. Here is a list of what I use right now and are on my "favorites" list for the summer. I hope you enjoy! Also head over to my blog to enter my giveaway. Face Wash - La Roche-Posay Effaclar - This is a foaming gel cleanser. Great for the summer. It will remove all the dirt, sunscreen and sweat that comes with the summertime. It's not drying and it will keep your skin's ph at a normal level. You can now find La Roche Posay products at the drugstore. Jump on this one ladies! It was originally only sold in doctor's offices. Remember, don't spend too much on your cleanser. It's only on your face for 30 seconds. Invest more of your money in products that stay on your face.

Daytime Serum - This is where your money can go. CE FERULIC is the best and most amazing product of all time. This is known to be the fountain of youth. Your skin will change after a couple of weeks on this product. Dark spots fade, the vitamin C is extremely anti-aging and this product works as an antioxidant. Wear this during the day with sunscreen and you will have advanced protection against photo aging.

Moisturizer  -  Emollience is a great moisturizer for normal skin. It's lightweight but still very hydrating for dry skin. It's around $38 which is a great price for a professional grade product. I also love Olay Regenerist. I feel like they give me the same results.

 

Eye Care is very important!

I apply a vit. C serum called AOX EYES (designed for the eye area) to protect during the day. I then apply Eye Balm if I'm feeling dry too.

Sunscreen  Please Please Please protect your skin! My favorite sunscreen is Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 by Skinceuticals. This comes in a universal tint color which is amazing! It glides on your skin and feels like a light weight moisturizer. You will love it. Never skip on your sunscreen!!

A few favorites for the summer....

So Bronze - air brush tanning, the color is a really pretty golden brown. Comes in an aerosol can for easy application. At night I spray my face, neck and shoulders to add a little color to areas that I apply heavy amounts of sunscreen. This doesn't smell bad to me either. I hate the self - tanners that smell so bad. This is one of the only tanners I can tolerate with amazing results!

Kate Sommerville Towelettes 

These towelettes with change your life. You can get a quick tan without streaking. Second favorite tanner.
